We pick up from Khao San and central tourist hotels and depart to Ayutthaya or the Ancient City as it is also known. This once glorious capital city, situated 80 km from Bangkok was destroyed by the Burmese army in 1767 and is now a UNESCO world heritage site. A large number of palaces, temples and chedis are still standing. In 1782 Bangkok became the capital of Thailand. We pick up from your guest house/hotel in the Khao san area at 0800 hours and make our way by car or mini bus to the Grand Palace. The Palace is made up of many buildings set around many gardens and courtyards. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) is carved from just one piece of Jade; it is the holiest and most revered religious object in Thailand.

Tour Starts from Bangkok at 0700 hours for the Erawan museum. The museum, housed in the body of a huge three headed elephant, was built to preserve a large amount of antiques and religious artifacts. The three headed elephant weighs over 100 tons. You can choose a lift or take the staircase to reach different levels. Tours start every 30 minutes.

At 0700 hours we pick up tourists from various parts of the city and depart to Kanchanaburi. We make our way to the cemetery of the Allied prisoners of war where almost 7,000 Allied prisoners were buried. Then we go to the Jeath museum (Japan, England Australia, Thailand and Holland); these are the nationalities of soldiers who participated in the construction.

We leave Bangkok at 1300 hours and make our way to watch the culture show at the Rose Garden. It includes 14 shows and over 140 performers and portrays a fascinating cross section of Thailand’s cultural heritage and way of life, ceremonies and dance. The exquisite Rose Garden complex has acres of wonderful tropical trees & shrubs.
